Pirita beach in September
Pirita is the city's long sand beach, 15 minutes from the centre. The sea is about 15 degrees in September; locals still swim, the sauna people all year.
When: Swimming is June to August, about 18 degrees at best. In September it is a dare; the winter-swimming crowd goes all year.
